| Professional Experience |
Mr. Shaffer has over 25 years as a Business Executive with extensive leadership experience in the durable goods and heavy duty truck industries. Jack is currently the President and COO at Bergstrom where he has brought innovative sales techniques, lean manufacturing concepts and a wealth of knowledge to grow the company into a world class HVAC supplier.
Prior to joining Bergstrom, Jack held several different positions at Valeo Corporation including Activity Managing Director of North America, President and CEO for Zexel Valeo Compressors USA and Division Managing Director Valeo Climate Control from 2000 to 2005. In 1995, Mr. Shaffer was the Vice President and General Manager for Gill Industries Inc. and moved up to President and COO in 1998. He also worked for thirteen years at Kollmorgen Corporation where he also held many different positions. He started out as the Materials Manager and became the Vice President and General Manager of the Company. Prior to Kollmorgen Corporation, Jack worked for Borg Warner Corporation from 1973 to 1981 as a Manufacturing Engineer, Production Control Manager, and the Materials Manager. His competencies include P&L turnarounds through strategic positioning, market development and operations excellence. Jack has a proven track record of margin improvements, new sales channels, increased bookings and employee development. He is extremely skilled in developing and articulating a clear and understandable vision.
