Bergstrom earns elite Diamond Supplier award from Navistar
Rockford, Illinois (May 12, 2008) Bergstrom Inc. has received the prestigious 2007 Diamond Supplier Award from Navistar, Inc. Less than 1% of all Navistar suppliers worldwide achieve this award, placing Bergstrom among an elite group.
Navistar’s Diamond Supplier Award is an ongoing program that recognizes exceptional performance by a supplier in quality, delivery and cost control. Navistar Purchasing Director Teresa Van Niekerk said, “We consider our Diamond Suppliers the best of the best. We seek out suppliers who deliver to us products of distinction, and we have found that with Bergstrom.”
The Diamond Supplier Award also recognizes intangibles such as company values and staff attitudes. “The complete dedication and commitment of the Bergstrom staff at every level is among the most impressive we’ve seen,” according to Navistar Purchasing Manager Lloyd Sergent. “As Diamond Suppliers, Bergstrom has earned a very high level of trust.”
After accepting the award, Bergstrom President and COO Jack Shaffer extended a sincere thanks to all employees, remarking that “This was truly a team effort by all of you. You have all gone above and beyond in your efforts to improve our quality and service. This award is a tremendous accomplishment made possible by you.”
Bergstrom has been providing heating and air conditioning systems and components to Navistar for over 20 years, and the award recognizes the company’s success in continuously improving quality processes.
