At Bergstrom Europe we utilise our extensive knowledge of operator enclosures, Off-Highway and niche automotive application, allied to the latest technologies, processes and materials to offer a unique solution to cabin thermal management across a wide range of industries.

Following TS16949 guidelines our Engineering resource is led by dedicated Project Managers guiding a cross functional team to ensure both customer’s expectations and legal requirements are met.

Bergstrom Engineering can provide full system development offering customers a strong, local technical capability, supported by a global presence to help customers create the next generation of world-class products.

Throughout the product development lifecycle, our engineers combine their talent and experience with their counterparts in China and North America to optimise component / system performance and reliability, while reducing lead time and cost. Manufacturing Systems and Processes

Our manufacturing practices utilise lean manufacturing techniques to ensure a safe, flexible and efficient operating environment.

All our products are manufactured within a cellular environment that employs a variety of advanced resources and methodologies:

• A visual management system at each cell to measure productivity and internal product quality.
• PFMEA is used to design, error proof and improve the ergonomics of the manufacturing solution.
• KanBan is utilised widely for internal and external material control, reducing work in process inventories and maintaining a Just In Time working environment.
• 5S system facilitates a working environment that is safe, efficient and well organised.
• Returnable packaging is used widely between Bergstrom Europe and its customers to reduce the amount of cardboard and other packaging materials
• To enable Zero Defects at the customer, our test capability includes Print on Pass serial numbered labels for assembled products, Hydrogen gas leak detection for coils and screw count / torque verification for fasteners.

Metal Fabrication Facility

Bergstrom Europe has a dedicated fabrication facility for the production of enclosures and parts made primarily from mild steel (CR4), galvanised steel and aluminium.

Having our own facility enables us to supply our assembly operation in a Just In Time fashion and allows for very fast turn around of prototypes

As well as producing parts for use in our HVAC units, we also supply fabricated metalwork on a sub contract basis.
